The Gulf Coast Journal of Literature and Fine Arts is published twice yearly by the University of Houston and was founded in 1986. Gulf Coast worked with CWS to create a professional online image for the publication. CWS provided project management, development, and implementation and partnered with Squidz Ink Design for the front-end design.

Gulf uses a custom Site Management Tool (SMT) to manage years of past issues and selections (as well as current and future), and publishes some featured selection from the current issue online in their entirety. Gulf also uploads artwork for the current issue and dynamically manages each issue's table of contents internally using their SMT.
